I was wondering what had happened to all your fish...now I see that they were just waiting... :P

Fascinating image--very lonely and bereft. :(

I mean by a picture, a beautiful romantic dream of something that never was, never will be, in a light better than
any light that ever shone, in a land no one can define or remember, only desire & the forms divinely beautiful.
--E Burne-Jones

Ah, VC! Good to see you didn't stay away too long :D

The concept and composition are, as always, excellent... although I must confess to being somewhat bothered by the shadows in this one - the shadow of the chair suggests light coming from the left, but the shadow of the fish suggests light coming from the right, and this inconsistency makes me feel that both elements are rather disconnected from each other.

But it is late, so perhaps I'm being over critical of what is otherwise a great piece of work ;)

Wonderful piece!

Thanks TT.....i rather thought that the light was coming from the front on both accounts....but i could be wrong! perhaps had I actually given the chair a shadow, it might not look so disconnected.....but i was unsure of doing a shadow on water and only did the reflection instead..
